After years of faithful and reliable service, my Yamaha CD-RW 4x4x16 SCSI drive has finally kicked the bucket.

That means I have to buy a replacement, something I can’t really afford right now.

I decided to ditch the SCSI interface mainly because SCSI is a dumb thing to have in a desktop computer.

Buy.com has free shipping now, so that helps a little. Not much though.
