If I were alive in 1964, I don’t think there’s any place I’d rather be than at the World’s Fair.
Companies and organizations from all over the world spent over $155 million building these enormous futuristic pavillions of technology, industry, and science. Just look at those photos!
The Fair’s unofficial icon, the all-steel Unisphere was amazing. Look at how big that thing is! It’s actually still standing today! I’d like to go visit someday.
Flushing Meadow Park is now a shadow of its former self, but a few reminders of its legacy remain. It’s sorta sad, but nothing that cool can last forever!
