Attendance was light in New Orleans Square this year on New Year’s Eve…but then again, so was the ‘entertainment’.

“Ellis Hall and the Truth” busted out their mildly annoying funksplosion from Tom Sawyer Island just like last year. Unlike last year, however, there was no Fantasmic show, and no special countdown show. The dancers and countdown show from last year were replaced by a guy on a raft with a microphone and some other bored cast members on rafts dressed up with flashing LEDs.

The fireworks were great, but the budget must have been a fraction of what it was in 2001.
