The Story Behind Ultra Edit – my text editor of choice – is a bizarre one indeed!

Here’s the story in a nutshell:

* Guy’s happy with his day job.

* Guy writes shareware software program to fill a void in the text editing world.

* Guy goes to sleep one night and says “God, if 20 people register my software tomorrow, that is a sign from you to quit my job!”

* Guy gets 21 registrations the next day and quits his job.

I think the guy was just bored at work. Sometimes I play games like that too.

“If the next truck that passes by my window has more than six wheels, that means I need to go to the bathroom.”
