Dallas just told me about Ooma – a huge threat to Vonage and probably their only real competition.

Ooma is just like Vonage BUT there’s no monthly fee. You pay a one-time $250 fee for the hardware, and that’s it. (Amazon’s got it for $197)

It’s free phone service for life! For the life of Ooma, anyway.

You can pay them $13 each month (or $100 per year) for some extra features, but that’s totally optional.
