Amazon has begun slowly rolling out Kindle applications.
The tested the waters by releasing two free apps a few weeks ago, Every Word and Shuffled Row, and today Scrabble has gone on sale for $4.99.
As a life-long cheap-ass, I have to say that $4.99 is highway robbery, particularly when the game lacks any online multiplayer component. But this is the beginning of a larger plan for the Kindle; something that may prove to be invaluable as 2011 becomes the year of the eBook and many clones and competitors start hitting the streets.
